Ms. Solange Ninette Bazina
Solange Ninette Bazina is currently the Division Manager for the Food Imports and Exports Control Division at Rwanda FDA. Her responsibilities focus on coordinating the control of importation and Exportation of all regulated food products, to ensure that they comply with regulatory requirements before they enter the Rwandan market.
Solange Solange Ninette is a seasoned professional in Quality Assurance and inspections, with around 19 years of dedicated experience in both industry and import/export quality compliance inspection services. Her extensive career has been marked by significant contributions to the support of food and non-food SMEs, helping them achieve certification against food safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to enhance their competitiveness in international markets.
Solange Ninette holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science from the University of Rwanda. She is pursuing an MSc in Agribusiness at the same institution, underscoring her commitment to advancing her expertise.
Before joining Rwanda FDA, Solange Ninette worked at Rwanda Inspectorate Competition and Consumer Protection Authority (RICA), where she was responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising all inspection activities of import and export at various entry points. She also served at the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB), in the Import Inspection Unit as an Import Quality Inspector, responsible for inspecting imported goods, submitting samples for quality control, and making decisions on imported cargo based on test results. With over 15 years at the Rwanda Standards Board and 4 years at RICA, Solange Ninette has acquired hands-on skills and competencies in food safety and quality management. Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to ensuring that products meet rigorous safety and quality standards, benefiting consumers and enhancing Rwanda’s trade capabilities.
